Hi @jellybelly1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing arrow keys on an HP laptop. You can try these potential solutions:

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve keyboard issues.

Check for Updates: Ensure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes keyboard issues are resolved with software updates.

Keyboard Settings: Check if Sticky Keys or any other keyboard features are enabled that might interfere with the arrow keys. You can access these settings in the Control Panel under "Ease of Access."

Driver Update: Update your keyboard driver.

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Find "Keyboards" and click to expand.
  • Right-click your keyboard device and select "Update driver."

External Keyboard: Connect an external keyboard to check if it is a hardware-related issue.

Check for Physical Damage: Ensure there is no debris or physical damage affecting the keys.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
