Hi,

I have a HP Omen ax236tx - year 2017.

I just realised that I need a replacement battery charger cable. (Which goes from the battery to the printed circuit board)

I believe the PN 858968-001 is what is need but I am not sure.

Problem was the cable ran along a screw mounting hole, after putting the back cover on I couldn't see the cable, which was inside, I screwed the cover on, not knowing the cable was in the way covering the hole.

I purchased a new battery for the unit because the old battery had swollen enormously, and it was bending the plastic case of the laptop, and it was dangerous having a battery in that condition as well.

I was wondering if anyone had a cable from an old unit using it as spare parts.

This is my trusted laptop I've had for years and now passing it on to my granddaughter for her personal use. I am a pensioner, so I don't use the laptop much nowadays.

I need this cable to make the HP Omen operable for my granddaughter for her schooling - she cannot afford to but the school preferred notebook that they are selling.

Can anyone help me?
