New in September of 25 HP Omni Desk Slim Desktop. Every couple days after use I try to start up and it locks up and won't start up. Tower light shows power on but the only way to turn it on is to force it to shut down and turn back on.  Any ideas?   thanks

Hi @2591kn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your HP Omni Desk Slim. When the power light is on but the computer won't start, it could indicate a few possible issues. Here's a general troubleshooting guide you can follow:

Restart the Computer:

  • Sometimes, performing a "hard reset" can resolve startup issues.
  • To do this, turn off the computer completely, unplug the power cable, wait for a minute, plug the power cable back in, and press the power button to start the computer.

Check for Loose Connections:

  • Open the side panel of the PC if you're comfortable doing so, and ensure that all internal cables, such as those connected to the hard drive and motherboard, are securely attached.

Reset the BIOS:

  • Occasionally, resetting the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) can help. Reboot the PC and repeatedly tap the "ESC" key (on some systems it's the "Delete" or "F2" key) to access the BIOS menu. Look for options to reset the BIOS to default settings.

Take care and have an amazing day!
