I recently purchased an HP 15.6-inch Laptop PC (model 15-fd1000) with 16GB of system memory and a 256GB C drive. Currently, 202.47GB of the storage is used, leaving only 83.34GB free. Each time the laptop updates, the available storage decreases. Could you please guide me on how to increase the storage space on Drive C?

Search "Disk Cleanup" in the Start menu on your HP laptop, select C: drive, and click OK, it first shows basic temp files. Click "Clean up system files" button (bottom right) to rescan and unlock system options like "Windows Update Cleanup" and "Delivery Optimization Files" for old updates/cache. Delete them all and you will get free space.

Check those boxes, click OK to delete (safe, frees 10-40GB often), confirm prompt, and check C: Properties after for freed space. Run monthly post-updates.

Hi, i am also having almost similar problem. I have only 200mbs of free space left out of 85GBs on C drive. I don't have anything in downloads/ recycle bin or desktop. I deleted all windows update files. What should i do now?
