Hi @ELC15,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’d like to disable the touchpad on your HP 360 laptop.
Here’s how you can do it step by step.

1. Use the Touchpad Toggle Shortcut (if available)

Many HP laptops have a quick toggle:

Look for a small dot or LED on the top-left corner of the touchpad.

Double-tap the dot/LED to disable or enable the touchpad.

A light usually turns on or off to show the current status.

If your model doesn’t have this feature, try the next steps.

2. Disable via Windows Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad.

Toggle the Touchpad switch to Off.

3. Disable via Device Manager

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Mice and other pointing devices.

Right-click on your Touchpad driver (it may show as “Synaptics Touchpad,” “ELAN Touchpad,” or “HID-compliant touchpad”).

Select Disable device and confirm.

If you use an external mouse, keep it connected before disabling the touchpad.

4. Check HP Control Panel (If Installed)

Some HP models use the HP Control Panel or Synaptics/ELAN software:

Search for “HP Control Panel”, “Synaptics TouchPad”, or “ELAN Touchpad” in the Start menu.

Look for a Disable Touchpad option.

5. BIOS/UEFI Option (Last Resort)

If other methods don’t work:

Restart your laptop and repeatedly press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS/UEFI.

Look under Advanced > Internal Pointing Device.

Set it to Disabled.

Save changes and exit.

I hope this helps.
