I recently purchased a HP laptop (HP - 15.6" Touch-Screen Full HD Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Natural Silver) and I'm trying to pair it with my KYY screen. I've tried connecting it with a USB C / USB A charge cable (which worked on my last laptop) AND now connected it with a Mini Displayport to HDMI cable. My laptop is still saying "cannot detect other display". I've never had this problem before and I can confirm that my KYY screen has power (but it's not connecting to my HP laptop).

Hi @XOSB

Please indicate the complete model of the laptop to find out if it is compatible with DisplayPort. Otherwise, you will not have an image through the USB-C port.

As I suspected, it does not have a USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort and cannot send images.

External I/O Ports1 USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors); 2 USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 AC smart pin; 1 HDMI 1.4b; 1 headphone/microphone combo

Interesting because I have a Samsung desktop monitor at home and it displays with an HDMI to my second monitor. I'm just not sure why it's not working with the KYY monitor.

I don't quite understand your question. You only have HDMI to connect a monitor. and you must use an HDMI to HDMI cable; you do not have a DisplayPort and cannot use mini DisplayPort to HDMI connectors.
