Is a HP Elitebook 630 corei5 compatible with an old HP Ultraslim Docking Station (Product code B9C87AA with a VGA socket) please?

You cannot use that dock, but you can perhaps use a USB-C to VGA cable.

Hi @Richard852

Although the laptop did not specify its generation, I don't think it has the port to connect it, nor the connectors that it should have on the bottom. These docks are used in older HP models.

Thanks Resistencia

The laptop I'm thinking of buying is a hp-elitebook-630-g9-intel-core-i5-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-13.3-inch, to replace my old Elitebook which can't accommodate Windows 11.  I'm hoping to continue to use my old HP Compaq LE2202x large monitor as a second screen.  It has a VGA plug, which plugs into my old docking station but not directly into the Elitebook 630.  If I were to stop using the old docking station, could I use a VGA to HDMI or VGA to USB-c adapter to connect the monitor  directly to the Elitebook 630 - or are there newer standalone docking stations with a VGA socket that would do the job?  Grateful for any guidance you can offer.
