When trying to print a Word or .pdf document from a Surface Pro 11 the printer (4155e) won't print certain letters (ex. b or p) The rest of the document prints fine. I have updated and installed most recent HP drivers.

@Sc0tt_H11,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

  • Check if the issue is related to font corruption by changing the font in your document.
  • Try printing the document from a different application (e.g., print PDF from a web browser).
  • Clear the printer queue and restart the printer.
  • Verify the page size and scaling settings are correct in the print dialog.
  • Reinstall the printer drivers by removing and reinstalling them from HP’s website.
  • Test printing from another computer or device to check if the issue is specific to your Surface Pro 11.
  • Ensure the printer firmware is up to date by checking through the printer’s settings or HP’s support site.
  • Temporarily disable third-party security software to rule out conflicts.
  • Adjust printer quality settings and ensure no settings like "Draft Mode" are affecting text output.

I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪
