Hi @ANGELM061,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 700 Pen is not connecting via Bluetooth, and the blue light does not turn on. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the Battery or Charge the Pen

If your HP 700 Pen uses a rechargeable battery, connect it to a power source using the supplied USB-C cable for at least 30 minutes.

If it uses an AAAA battery, replace it with a fresh one and make sure it’s installed with the correct polarity.

Perform a Pen Reset

Press and hold both top buttons (barrel and Bluetooth button) for 10 seconds.

Release the buttons, wait a few seconds, and then try pressing the Bluetooth button again to see if the blue pairing light comes on.

Enable Bluetooth on Your Laptop or Tablet

On your HP device, go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

Remove any previous “HP Pen” entries under paired devices before trying again.

Enter Pairing Mode Manually

Hold down the Bluetooth button on your pen until the blue LED starts blinking.

When visible, select “HP Pen” from your device’s Bluetooth list to connect.

Check for Windows Ink or Pen Driver Updates

Open HP Support Assistant or Device Manager, and update any firmware or pen-related drivers.

Outdated firmware can prevent proper Bluetooth pairing.

Test on Another Compatible HP Device

If the pen still does not light up, try connecting it to another HP touchscreen laptop that supports HP MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol) to confirm if the issue is with the pen itself.

I hope this helps.
