Hello,

I’ve been using my HP Pavilion 15 for a year, and it worked perfectly until a few weeks ago when it started charging very slowly.

I found two potential solutions in this forum:

  1. Reinstalling the Battery Drivers:

    • Open Device Manager → Expand Batteries.
    • Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method BatteryUninstall.
    • Check the box to remove the driver, then shut down the laptop.
    • Remove and reinsert the battery (if removable). Restart the laptop, let it reinstall the driver, and update it.
    • Repeat the same for Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.
  2. Updating the BIOS Driver: I followed HP’s instructions to update the BIOS.

Both solutions worked temporarily, but the slow charging issue has returned.

Has anyone else faced this? Are there additional steps I should try?

Thanks!
