Hi @Leo4876,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Ensure Proper Paper Loading

  1. Load paper correctly:
    • Load paper into the paper tray until it stops, ensuring it is print side down.
    • Adjust the paper-width guides inward against the edge of the paper.
    • Open the paper tray extender.

Verify Printer Settings

  1. Check settings on your software:
    • Open the Print dialog box from your software (this might be called Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer Properties, or Preferences).
    • On the Layout tab, select either Flip on Long Edge or Flip on Short Edge from the Print on Both Sides drop-down list.

Printer Software Configuration

  1. Ensure the proper settings on your printer software:
    • Windows Operating System:
      • Right-click an empty area on the screen to find all apps and click the icon with the printer's name.
      • Select Print & Scan, then click Maintain Your Printer.
    • Mac OS:
      • Click the Apple menu and then System Preferences. Go to Print & Scan, select your printer and then make sure to set the appropriate settings mentioned above.

Restart Printer and Check Print Queue

Reseat the printer connection:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Ensure the printer is connected properly and check for any error messages on the printer display.

Clear the print queue:

  • On Windows, go to Control Panel > View devices and printers.
  • Open the print queue for your printer, cancel all documents, and then try printing again.

Using HP Print and Scan Doctor

If the issue persists, use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
