@Vyrax, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Notebook is experiencing sudden shutdowns when the screen is touched or slightly moved, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity issues. These symptoms strongly suggest a hardware-related issue, likely around the motherboard, power connector, or wireless module.

Sudden Shutdown When Touched or Moved

Likely Causes:

  • Loose internal connection: Particularly the power cable, battery connector, or motherboard.
  • Faulty power jack or flex cable: A slightly moved screen could stress the internal cable.
  • Short circuit on motherboard: Movement might trigger a shutdown to prevent damage.

Please try these steps,

  • Check power connection:

Plug in the laptop and gently move the screen or chassis. See if the charging light flickers.

  • Battery test:

Remove the battery (if removable) and use only AC power. See if issue persists.

  • Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:

Restart and press F2 repeatedly → Select System Tests > Extensive Test.

Poor Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity

This could be due to:

  • A failing wireless card
  • Antenna cable disconnection (common if the laptop was dropped or opened recently)
  • Driver issues

Steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Update drivers:
    • Go to Device Manager → Right-click on Network adapters → Update drivers.
  2. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Sometimes, updates include important driver fixes.
  3. Reset Network Settings:
    • Go to SettingsNetwork & InternetAdvanced network settingsNetwork reset.
  4. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
    • Restart your laptop and press Esc → then F2 to run diagnostics.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
