Intel® Core™ i7-10700T Processor

hi

my motherboard is a intel Q470

My processor it’s an intel 10th gen pentium 6400t .

If I stay  in 10th gen , and 35w it’s fine ?

For a 65w upgrade, there’s some possibility

thanks for your help.

You're very welcome.

According to the specs page, the optional NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti graphics card has to be configured during purchase.

HP EliteDesk 800 | HP® Canada

See footnote 8.

For the HP EliteDesk 800 G6 DM PC support for 7 displays requires 35W processor and NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti graphics card be configured at purchase.

Since it doesn't appear that you can install a graphics card, you will be fine with the 65W power supply.

Hi:

If you are referring to the Elitedesk 800 G6 Desktop Mini PC, and yours has the Intel Pentium 6400T, then you have to remain with one of the supported 'T' processors because the 35W and 65W PC's use different motherboards, heat sinks and power supplies.

I don't know what your PC's product number is but here are parts lists from a PC that comes with a 35W processor and one that comes with a 65W processor:

35W

HP PartSurfer

65W

HP PartSurfer

So, you would be fine with upgrading your PC to the Intel® Core™ i5-10600T processor, or the Intel® Core™ i7-10700T processor.

Awesome ! I just received the beast, so I’m shopping right now for all the stuff. Graphic card check

cpu check

but I have a 65w power supply … does it matter?
and the only graphic card that can possibly enter need more w like 95w if it’s not 130 if my memory good

thanks for the help !

So there’s no way to put this after the manufacturing, so sad 😞

thanks for the advice

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

The question has been asked before and from the gist of this discussion, it is totally not worth even trying, looking at the $986 USD cost for the graphics card part number alone.

upgrade my HP EliteDesk 800 G6 mini to the NVIDIA GTX 1660 T... - HP Support Community - 8535388

And the person who answered the question forgot to mention the card would need the required heat sink part number and you would need the 150W power supply.

Upgrade the processor to the Intel® Core™ i7-10700T, and that should be a pretty big improvement over the Pentium.

That’s the main plan now , but I can get this card used for like 300 CAN so that’s why it was considered.
but if it can’t fit , it can’t .
