Hi @venky1981,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you have an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh1xxx laptop that came with Windows and Microsoft Office, but you’ve forgotten the registered Microsoft login ID and password, and now you need them for reinstalling the OS and Office. Let’s go step by step:

1. Windows 10/11 License (OS)

Your Windows license is digital and linked to the laptop’s motherboard.

This means you do not need a product key to reinstall Windows.

When you reinstall using the correct edition (usually Windows 10/11 Home or Pro), it will auto-activate once connected to the internet.

2. Microsoft Account Recovery

Since Microsoft Office is tied to the Microsoft account you used during initial setup, you need that account to reinstall:

Go to the Microsoft Account recovery page: https://account.live.com/password/reset

Enter any email ID or phone number you think may be linked.

Follow the steps to reset the password.

If you don’t remember which email you used:

Go to https://account.microsoft.com → Click Sign In → Use Forgot username.

You can also check any old emails for “Microsoft Office” purchase/activation confirmation, which will show the registered account.

3. Office Reinstallation

Once you recover your Microsoft account, sign in at https://www.office.com.

Click on My Account > Services & Subscriptions to see your Office entitlement.

From there, you can download and reinstall Office.

4. Reinstalling Windows

Use the official Microsoft Media Creation Tool: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download.

Create a bootable USB with Windows 10/11.

Reinstall Windows → Choose “I don’t have a product key” → Windows will auto-activate later.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
