My mother bought me this laptop in August 2024, in Surprise Arizona.  YOUR system says it was purchased in 2023 and is out of warranty.  Your system has made an error.  I do not have proof of purchase, as my mother is no longer with us.  I do not have access to her accounts, so I can not show the cc she used to purchase this.  You  need to stand behind the products you sell and fix this laptop.  Your system made the error, not me.  PLEASE correct your mistake and let me know how to get this laptop repaired. THANK YOU!

Hello @JohnMidiri ,

Welcome to the HP community.

As a new guest to our community, I would advise the community search functionality as it bears answers for most questions.

A quick search for the term "warranty" finds, as an example, this >Brand new desktop already out of warranty?<

One of our friendly volunteers explains exactly why this is happening and also shows how the warranty, if entitled, can be corrected using the Warranty Dispute page.

Most of us are just volunteers here.

Best Regards

I went through the Warranty Dispute Page. One day latter I got an email that said my case was closed. no resolution, never spoke to a human being. Just these dumb LLMs.  I see lots of posts all over the internet (FB, Redit, X, etc) with people having the same issue.  My warranty should start when I purchase the computer, not when YOUR reseller purchases it and then it sits on a shelf for a year. I just want what I paid for, nothing more, nothing less. Honor your products!

Hello @JohnMidiri ,

As stated in my reply and my signature we are all volunteers in this peer-2-peer forum.

You have 2 options:

  • Wait if a Paid agent replies here
  • Open a Support case.
    Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards
