Buongiorno a tutti.

Good morning everyone. I've had a problem I've been unable to resolve for a few weeks. It involves installing Win 11 on an HP Z400 or HP Z600, and it happens in exactly the same way. Given that both workstations aren't compatible with some Microsoft requirements, which can be easily bypassed, I've successfully upgraded three other HP Z400s from Win 10 to Win 11, and Win 11 has been running fine for months. A fresh install changes the situation; the installation goes smoothly, but then, inevitably, after a few hours of the system running, or a day at most, I'm left with a black screen (after rebooting) and a message saying "disk not detected" or "missing system," or something similar.

1) The disk is still present and is detected by the BIOS.

2) The BIOS is updated to the latest possible version for that station.

3) I've replaced 4/5 SSDs, but the result remains the same.

4) I've tried 3 different installations of Win 11 (different media and clean or compressed ISO versions), and the result is the same.

5) The problem doesn't occur if reinstalled with Win 10, but this will clearly be a problem in a few months, little by little, due to patch support.

One test I still have to do is try installing on the HDD and not the SSD. I'll try it this week and update the post.

Has anyone had or encountered similar problems? Does anyone have any suggestions?

It would be greatly appreciated, as both XEON processor stations offer excellent possibilities for conversion and internal use as mini RAID servers or backups.

Thanks for any suggestions.
