Hi @Mary800,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand you are facing the issues when your keyboard and mouse are not communicating with your HP All-in-One PC, it can be frustrating. Please follow the steps which you diagnose and fix the issue:

Check Connections:

  • If you are using wired devices, ensure they are properly connected to the USB ports. Try connecting to different USB ports on the PC.
  • For wireless devices, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on the PC.

Power and Batteries:

  • For wireless devices, check that the keyboard and mouse have fresh batteries and ensure they are turned on.
  • Verify that any power switches on your keyboard and mouse are turned on.

Re-sync Wireless Devices:

  • Some wireless keyboards and mice have a sync button. Press the sync button on the receiver and then on the devices to re-establish the connection.

Driver Updates:

  • Go to Device Manager. To access it, right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on the device entry, and select Update driver.

Test with another PC:

  • To rule out hardware failure, test the keyboard and mouse with another computer if available.

Hardware Troubleshooter:

  • Run the built-in Windows hardware troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Keyboard and run the troubleshooter.
    • Similarly, run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter if available.

Restart the PC:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Take care and have an amazing day!
