I reset the laptop using a boot drive with windows 11 pro on it. Deleting all of the previous partitions. What has been done?

(HP Omen Transcend 14' Oled 3K 120HZ RTX 4070 / Ultra 9 185HX)

Nvidia app drivers installed

Omen Gaming Hub, set to performance

Drivers installed from HP support Assistant

Nvidia control panel installed, 3D settings set to high performance

Used 3D mark steel nomad and scored 1165 when average is 2552

What am i missing? it feels like there is an extremely critical part of this laptop thats missing as the performance is such a drastic difference. Warranty expired 1 month ago.

It's likely newer nvidia driver. Use DDU Uninstalled and install Nvidia games ready driver 581.94. Follow these steps:

I. Download and extract DDU from the official website.

II. Boot into safe mode, then open DDU, and if the Options window doesn’t appear, click the "Options" button; then select all AMD/NVIDIA specific options for your GPU brand, scroll down and check "Prevent downloads of drivers from Windows Update when Windows search for a driver for a device" (found at the bottom), and after selecting these, close the Options window.

III.  Set the device type to GPU. If your laptop has both an iGPU and a dGPU, first select the dGPU brand (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD), click "Clean and Restart", then boot into Safe Mode again, select the iGPU brand (usually Intel/AMD), and repeat the process by clicking "Clean and Restart". When the system boots normally after this, the uninstallation process is complete.

Now install Igpu driver first then restart and install Nvidia 581.94 driver directly from nvidia page.
