At POST stage memory initialization errors (3x long + 2x  short beeps after power on) especially on Elitebook 8 G1i 16 and  Elitebook 8 G1i 14 models. (We have several cases like this!)

 

All devices are brand new.

 

The error occurs randomly, especially after a cold boot/power on. After hard power off, next power on usually works normally.

 

  1. HP UEFI diagnostics have not yielded any usable results.
  2. BIOS update to the latest version does not resolve the problem.

As it's pre-OS environment, driver updates are not applicable.
