The hp website is not recognizing this error code when I submit it. so I would like to know what the error is and if it can be fixed.

I can't get the site to recognize the code you posted either.

If you are sure that is the right code and none of those zeros are letter o's, then the only suggestion I can offer would be to do this:

If the code worked, there is a 99% chance the report would tell you one of the memory chips has failed.

Your PC came with 12 GB of memory.

It is unlikely that both chips are no good, so open up the notebook and test each memory chip one at a time so you can figure out which one is no good.

Then replace that memory chip.

If it happens to be that the 4 GB memory chip is bad, replace it with an 8 GB chip so the memory runs in the higher performing dual channel mode as well as increasing the memory from 12 to 16 GB.

Below is the link to the service manual:

There is also this service teardown video:

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip:

Timetec 8GB DDR4 2666MHz (DDR4-2666) PC4-21300 ((PC4-2666V) Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL19 1Rx8 Single...

Unfortunately, memory is extremely expensive due to the chip shortage which has driven up the memory prices astronomically.

A year ago this chip was around $14.00.
