Hi @Sahal11, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The 3 long beeps and 4 short beeps indicate a power adapter or power-related issue, especially since your PC now displays "Unsupported adapter installed."

Since your brother👦 pulled the cord out roughly, there's a good chance:

  1. The adapter 🔌was damaged.
  2. The power jack or charging circuit on the motherboard was affected.

What You Can Try Before Buying a New Adapter:

Check the adapter and cable

  • Inspect for visible damage, bends, or loose connections.
  • Try using another adapter if available.

Check the power jack on the laptop

  • Look inside the charging port—any bent or broken pins?
  • If it’s loose or wobbly, the internal charging circuit might be damaged.

Reset the laptop

  • Unplug everything, remove the battery (if removable), and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds.
  • Then, reconnect everything and try again.

BIOS Reset (if you can access it)

  • If the laptop powers on but doesn’t boot, try resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery (if possible) for a few minutes.

Buying a New Adapter?

  • If your original adapter was 90W, buy the same or a higher-wattage (like 120W).
  • DO NOT buy a lower-wattage adapter (e.g., a 65W if your laptop requires 90W) as it might not provide enough power.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
