My dell desktop is locked with error code 0xc0000001 and now is a very expensive

boat anchor. I tried to tell the HP support tech not to put windows 11 on my computer.

Just wanted to get my HP Deskjet 2755e to print again.

I am using a borrowed computer to send this complaint.

To fix this problem could cost me as much as 700.00.

  • Dell desktop: Since this is a Dell machine, HP support would not normally install or manage Windows on it. It sounds like there may have been confusion during your support interaction.
  • Your goal: You originally just wanted your HP DeskJet 2755e printer working again, but now your main computer is unusable.

 

Isolating the Problem

  1. System type: Confirm if your Dell desktop was running Windows 10 before HP support installed Windows 11.
  2. Boot environment: Does the system show recovery options (e.g., "Advanced Options," "Startup Repair") when you power it on?
  3. Media availability: Do you have a Windows 10 or Windows 11 installation USB/DVD? This is often needed to repair or reinstall the OS.
  4. Data importance: Do you need to recover files from the Dell desktop before attempting repair or reinstall?
