Hi @muazkose

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Your laptop is likely shutting down due to thermal protection or a hardware fault triggered under gaming load. The delay before restart suggests overheating or a power delivery issue.

Let’s walk through how to stabilize it.

Step 1: Check for Overheating

Gaming pushes your CPU and GPU hard. If temperatures spike, the system may shut down to protect itself.

  • Feel the laptop’s underside after shutdown—if it’s hot to the touch, overheating is likely.
  • Use OMEN Hub or HWMonitor to track CPU/GPU temps during gameplay.
  • If temps exceed 85–90°C, clean the vents and fans using compressed air.
  • Elevate the laptop slightly or use a cooling pad to improve airflow.

Step 2: Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated firmware can mismanage thermal or power events.

  1. Visit: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
  2. Enter your laptop’s exact model.
  3. Download and install the latest:
    • BIOS update
    • Chipset driver
    • Graphics driver (Intel/AMD/NVIDIA)

Step 3: Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

This checks for failing components like RAM, battery, or thermal sensors.

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press the power button and immediately tap Esc repeatedly.
  3. Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  4. Run System Tests > Extensive Test and Component Tests > Thermal.

Step 4: Disable Fast Startup

Fast Startup can interfere with proper shutdown and restart behavior.

  1. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
  2. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  3. Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
  4. Save and restart.

Step 5: Check Power Adapter and Battery

  • Use the original HP adapter and ensure it’s delivering stable power.
  • If the battery is weak or failing, the system may shut down under load.
  • You can continue using AC power, but avoid unplugging during use.

Step 6: Review the Recovery Screen Message

The Turkish recovery screen you shared indicates a failed automatic repair. This may be caused by:

  • Sudden shutdown corrupting system files.
  • A failing SSD or RAM module.

You can access Advanced Recovery Options by pressing Enter on that screen and choosing:

  • Startup Repair
  • System Restore
  • Or boot into Safe Mode to check logs at:
    C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Let me know your exact laptop model and whether you’ve noticed fan noise or heat buildup—I’ll guide you further based on that.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
