I need to upgrade my 256 gig ssd to 1T, current new PCIe cards run on either PCIe 4 or 5, will I be able to run 4 or 5

on my Omen 880?

If your PC currently has a PCIe Gen 3.0 NVMe SSD, you can install either a Gen 4 or Gen 5 NVMe SSD, but since your PC's M.2 slot is only PCIe Gen 3.0, neither a Gen 4 or Gen 5 SSD will run at their maximum advertised read/write speeds from the Gen 3 slot.

The maximum transfer speed a Gen 3 slot can provide is 4,000 MBPS.
