HP OmniDesk Desktop AI PC M03-0000i (A9UU1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Windows updated my Realtek audio driver on 11/17/25 and now my speakers don't work. The update contained 3 parts from Realtek, all identified as KB 5070538. The Realtek driver shown in devices is 6.0.9894.1. The other two Realtek driver updates are 1.0905.0 and 13.3700.1921.654. I have seen a solution on an earlier notebook post that uninstalls the Realtek driver and installs sp131797.exe. Will this solution work for my Desktop PC? See link to that solution: Solved: Driver for Realtek Audio for Windows 11 - HP Support Community - 9199271

hello Doh52.

HP has released two Realtek audio driver packages (both contain version 6.0.9894.1) for your HP OmniDesk Desktop computer in late November 2025.  if you are running the latest version of Windows 11 (possibly the recent 25H2 release of Win11), try any one of the following packages mentioned below:

sp165516.exe

release notes for sp165516

sp165517.exe

release notes for sp165517

Hi @Doh52,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Yes the solution you saw (uninstalling and then installing the audio driver will fix the issue ) .

Pease try a clean install of Audio driver

1. Download the driver from the website link : https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/laptops by keying in the serial number of the notebook and selecting the windows version on the current notebook .

           and save on your computer
2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
3. Reboot machine,
4. Install downloaded file above,
5. Reboot machine

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Deep_World, Thanks for the reply. My computer is an OMNI Desktop. I did muddle my way to the HP driver website for my desktop computer, however there was no Realtek driver listed for Windows 11 25H2. I ended up having Microsoft call me and they restored my audio. I believe your solution would have probably worked for my system.
