I have purchased an omnibook X Ai (Windows ARM) exactly because my Asus ROG laptop was lasting 5 hours. Every review ive seen got 14+ hours on this laptop. But i've been getting no more than 6 hours and in average 5 hours. And that from only surfing the web on Microsoft Edge, which is considered the most power efficient for windows 11 ARM. I dont know what's going on. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @a1quino,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I'm sorry to hear that your HP OmniBook X AI's battery is not meeting your expectations. Battery life can vary greatly based on a number of factors, including usage patterns, software settings, and internal hardware configurations. I would request you to perform the below steps to help optimize battery usage:

Adjust Power Settings:

  • Open the Windows Start menu and type "Power & sleep settings".
  • Adjust the power mode to "Better Battery" to conserve power.

Run UEFI Test

  • Access Diagnostics: Shut down the laptop, plug in the AC adapter, then turn it on and immediately press Esc repeatedly (about once per second) to enter the Startup Menu, then press F2.
  • Run Battery Test: In the Diagnostics menu, select Component Tests, then Power, then Battery, and click Run once.
  • Calibrate (If prompted): The test will run, and if calibration is needed, a Calibrate Battery button will appear; click it to start the process.
  • Complete Cycle: Let the process run (it takes 12-14 hours) and then fully recharge the battery as instructed.

Disable Unused Wireless Features:

  • Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless features if not in use.

Perform Regular Battery Maintenance:

  • Fully charge and then fully discharge your battery periodically to maintain its health.

Check for System Updates:

  • Ensure that your laptop is running the latest software patches and drivers, as updates can sometimes improve power management.

Take care and have an amazing day!
