Hi @Rober25,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-5000i is shutting down unexpectedly with a warning, it might be due to several potential issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the problem.

Overheating:

  • Solution: Ensure that your desktop's ventilation openings are not blocked. Check for dust accumulation in the fans and other internal components and clean them if necessary. Ensure that the room temperature is not too high.

Power Supply Issues:

  • Solution: Check your power supply connections. Make sure the power cable is firmly connected to both your desktop and the power outlet. Also, consider trying a different power outlet to rule out an electrical issue.

Software/Operating System Conflicts:

  • Solution: Make sure your operating system and all drivers are up to date. Sometimes updates fix bugs or issues that might cause unexpected shutdowns. You can do an operating system update check through the settings menu.

BIOS Issues:

  • Solution: Ensure your BIOS is up to date. You can check for updates on the HP support website specifically for your model.

Hardware Failure:

  • Solution: Run HP's built-in diagnostics tool to check for hardware issues. You can usually access these diagnostics by pressing the F2 key during startup to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI interface.

Virus or Malware:

  • Solution: Run a full virus/malware scan using your preferred antivirus software to ensure that a malicious program is not causing the shutdowns.

Energy Management Settings:

  • Solution: Check your power management settings to ensure they are configured properly and are not set to shutdown the PC after a particular time or condition.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
