HP Pavilion Laptop PC 14-dv1000 (464V0AV)

Hi so when i turn on my hp laptop, it asks me to put my recovery key in, and so when i do, i get "preparing automatic repair" and after a couple minutes, it says on a blue screen saying "your device ran into a problem, we will reset for you". it does say on this screen "give this information to a support worker:  stop code: DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG, and then it resets back to asking for the recovery key and this just keeps repeating.

Ive been on the Bios setup menu and tried to use others information that i have found across forums and this community etc but nothings working.I turn it off and on and back it goes to "enter recovery key". I followed some peoples advice by trying to "load default settings" and restore security settings to defailt  in the Bios menu but nothing is working.

I even unscrewed the bottom, removed the battery and put it back in. Also, i have run all the system tests that i have seen others instructed to run and all of them have passed with no issue.

Also, when i press the recovery option after pressing esc on start up,  error code 0xc0000225 appears  on a blue screen, and when i either click on one of the options of "recovery environment" or " start up settings", nothing happens. i did search this up and saw that people were instructed to boot up chrome using a usb stick or disc or something like that, but i got confused reading this and when i tried to downlaod windows on my other laptop, it said my device wasnt compatitable so i havent tried this option fully yet.

Thanks for reading this!

Hello Owen890,

Thanks for reaching out.

May I know if the issue has started to occur after any Windows update or if any program was installed ?

If yes, try to roll back Windows or uninstall the program.

If you are able to able to boot into Windows, try to update the BIOS on the unit with the charger connected.

HP Driver page : https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/laptops

Also, try to update other drivers like the graphic driver, Chipset etc.

If you had recently installed any hardware like additional graphic card or USB hubs, please disconnect it and check.

Let m know if you need any further help if the issue is not resolved.
