Hi! A few days ago, my computer started having a stuttering problem affecting my headphones. My laptop stutters every 5 minutes on the dot, disconnecting and reconnecting all USB and bluetooth devices and lagging the system for a second. I noticed that the system shows audio still coming through my bluetooth airpods after each stutter. However, despite the system showing sound being transmitted to my headphones, I can't hear anything come through the headphones unless I disconnect and reconnect my headphones. This stutter occurs regardless of whether or not my headphones are connected On top of this, any connected usb devices will disconnect for a second, and reconnect immediately after the stutter finishes.

I measured this happening midway through 5:20pm, 5:25pm, 5:30pm, 5:35pm, and onward, so it happens exactly every 5 minutes, which makes me think something running in the background is being consistently reset every 5 minutes and is causing the system stutter issues. How would I go about finding what's causing this?

Thank you

Do this:

- Press Win + R, type services.msc, Enter.

- Find HP One Agent Service, right-click > Properties.

- Set Startup type to Disabled; click Stop if running > apply and OK.

- Close window, restart laptop.

- Test it.
