Hi @5CD0460J0S
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Screen flickering after a Windows update can be frustrating, but it’s often caused by display driver conflicts, refresh rate issues, or software bugs. Here’s how to fix it:
Update or Roll Back Display Drivers
- Open Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
- Expand Display Adapters, right-click your GPU, and select Update driver → Search automatically.
- If the issue started after an update, try rolling back the driver:
- Right-click the GPU → Properties → Driver tab → Roll Back Driver.
Adjust Refresh Rate
- Go to Settings → System → Display → Advanced Display Settings.
- Ensure the refresh rate is set to the recommended value (usually 60Hz or higher).
Boot in Safe Mode & Uninstall Problematic Updates
- Restart your PC and press F8 or Shift + Restart to enter Safe Mode.
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → View update history → Uninstall updates.
- Remove the most recent update that may have caused the issue.
Run HP’s Display Troubleshooter
- HP provides a troubleshooting guide for screen flickering issues here.
