Hello,

I purchased a laptop in Nov 12 2023 from Sam’s Club which included 2 year warranty care pack and accidental damage protection, however when I ran the warranty on HP website, it only showed 1 year warrant care pack from Nov 2023 to Nov 2024. When I reached out to Sam's Club support, they confirmed I still have 2 months left on my warranty through HP and to contact them. Is there any way I might be able to talk to an HP representative to dispute the 1 year warranty shown? (The dispute link is not working)

Hi @Amaya7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your concern, and I’m sorry for the confusion around your warranty status. Let me clarify how this works:

All HP laptops come with a standard 1-year factory warranty that shows in our system. Any additional coverage (extended warranty or Accidental Damage Protection) is only reflected in HP’s database if it was purchased as an HP Care Pack directly from HP (through HP.com or HP Support).

Since you mentioned the plan came bundled from Sam’s Club, this sounds like a retailer-provided protection plan rather than an HP Care Pack. That is why HP’s website only displays the 1-year warranty. In these cases, all service, claims, and coverage beyond the first year are managed directly by Sam’s Club (or their warranty partner).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
