Hi @NATALIA822

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand the concern, that you’re facing an issue with the notebook unable to boot  and also we appreciate that you have tried the effort of going into the F2 diagnostic page to perform the test, I really appreciate that. Do not worry, we’ll help you in resolving this issue.

Kindly please follow the below steps:

1. Confirm BIOS/UEFI Boot Settings

  • Restart and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Check if your hard drive/SSD is listed under storage.
  • Ensure the boot order has your OS drive first (not USB or network).
  • If the drive isn’t detected, it may be disconnected or failed.

2. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics Again

  • You already ran F2 tests, but specifically check the hard drive/SSD test.
  • Sometimes the quick test passes but the extended test reveals issues.

3. Try Windows Recovery (But before initiating this step please ensure all the data on the computer is backed up)

  • Power on and press F11 to enter HP Recovery Environment.
  • Options available:
  • Startup Repair – automatically fixes boot issues.
  • System Restore – roll back to a previous working state.
  • Reset this PC – reinstall Windows while keeping or removing files.

4. Repair Boot Loader

If recovery doesn’t launch, use a Windows installation USB:

  • Boot from USB → choose Repair your computer.
  • Open Command Prompt and run:

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

bootrec /scanos

bootrec /rebuildbcd

  • This rebuilds the boot configuration data (BCD).

5. Check Storage Device

  • If BIOS doesn’t detect the drive, reseat the SSD/HDD (if accessible).
  • For laptops with soldered storage, professional service may be required.
  • A failed drive will prevent boot even if diagnostics don’t show errors.

I hope this helps.
