My computer is out but under warranty. Blinking cap lock and black screen. What is the name and address for a HP brand offline flagship store.

@Shasta6, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP 14-cf2000 Laptop PC

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your HP 14-cf2000 Laptop PC is experiencing a Caps Lock blinking issue with a black screen, which usually indicates a hardware failure. Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps before considering a service center visit:

Identify the Blink Code

  • Count how many times the Caps Lock light blinks in a sequence (e.g., 2 blinks, pause, repeat).
  • Each blink pattern corresponds to a specific hardware issue (e.g., CPU, RAM, motherboard).

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect all external devices (USBs, chargers, etc.).
  3. Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  4. Press and hold the Power button for 15-20 seconds.
  5. Reconnect only the power adapter and try turning the laptop on.

BIOS Recovery

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold the Windows + B keys, then press the Power button for a few seconds.
  3. If the BIOS Recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.

Please try these steps first!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
