Hi @IEUA,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you are unable to download a file and are getting the message “This site can’t be reached.” Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check basic internet connectivity
Open a few other websites to confirm your internet connection is working.
If multiple sites fail to load, the issue is with the network connection.

Refresh and retry the download
Reload the page and try downloading the file again.
Temporary connection drops can cause this error.

Try a different browser
Open the same link using another browser (for example, Edge, Chrome, or Firefox).
This helps rule out a browser-specific issue.

Clear browser cache and cookies
Clear cached data and cookies from the browser settings.
Corrupted cache data can prevent sites from loading correctly.

Disable VPN or proxy temporarily
Turn off any VPN or proxy services and retry the download.
These services can block or reroute traffic, causing the site to be unreachable.

Check firewall or antivirus restrictions
Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus software and test the download.
Security software may block certain websites or file types.

Verify DNS resolution
Restart your computer and router to refresh network settings.
If possible, switch to automatic DNS or use a public DNS temporarily to test.

Test from another network
Try downloading the file using a different Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot.
If it works there, the issue is related to your original network or ISP.

I hope this helps.
