how do I find my windows 11 product key?

If your PC came with W11 from HP, the Windows product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS.

You don't need the product key to reinstall Windows.

If you want to view the product key that is encrypted in the BIOS, download and install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store.

Paul, thanks for the advice.  I downloaded the showkeyplus app and it gave me a product key.  But when I put it in my product key that I got from the app, it says the product key that you entered didn't work.  Check the product key and try again or enter a different one. (0xc004f050).  Any new ideas?

You're very welcome. 

The report should have shown an installed product key, and an OEM product key. 

If the installed key is different than the OEM product key, change the installed key to the OEM key and you should be able to activate Windows. 

If that doesn't work, the only suggestion I can offer would be to contact Microsoft for further assistance.

I called Microsoft and they downloaded 11 pro for me.  As it turns out, when I had downloaded the 11 pro upgrade from 11 home in the Microsoft store, somehow it actually upgraded to 11 enterprise. I know.  I’m not smart.  Thanks for the advice though.  Your advice might have worked if I had given you better info.  Much appreciated anyway.
