Hi @Paulos_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how important it is to get your documents scanned quickly and smoothly, especially when you're working on a tight deadline or trying to preserve something meaningful. Let's walk through the steps to scan from your HP ENVY 6152 printer to your MacBook, with a touch of care and clarity.

Step-by-Step: Scan from HP ENVY 6152 to MacBook (macOS)

Option 1: Using HP Easy Scan (Recommended for macOS)

HP Easy Scan is a user-friendly app designed specifically for macOS. It gives you control over scan settings and lets you save your scans in various formats.

  1. Load your document
Place your document face down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the guides. If your printer has an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), you can use that for multi-page documents.
  2. Open HP Easy Scan
On your Mac, go to Applications > HP Easy Scan. If you don’t have it installed, you can download it from HP Envy 6152e All-in-One Printer | HP® Support.
  3. Select your printer
Make sure your HP ENVY 6152 is selected in the app. If it’s not listed, ensure it’s connected via Wi-Fi or USB.
  4. Choose scan settings
Select the type of scan (Document, Photo, etc.), resolution, color preference, and file format (PDF, JPEG, etc.).
  5. Start the scan
Click Scan. You’ll see a preview and adjust if needed.
  6. Save your file
Once satisfied, click File > Save, and choose where to save your scanned document.

Option 2: Using HP App

If you prefer a more modern interface or want cloud features, HP Smart is a great alternative.

  1. Download the HP app from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Open the app and add your printer.
  3. Tap Scan and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Save or share your scan directly from the app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
