@tom21125,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Unless I am mistaken, it looks like you're referring to VRAM (Video RAM), which is used by your integrated graphics. Your HP All-in-One 24-cb0000i (3B7Z9AV) uses Intel UHD Graphics, which doesn’t have dedicated VRAM. Instead, it shares system RAM, and Windows dynamically allocates memory based on demand. If you’re seeing only 431MB available VRAM while a program requires 1205MB, here’s what you can do:

1. Check Current VRAM Allocation:

  • Press Windows + R, type dxdiag, and hit Enter.
  • Go to the Display tab and check the "Display Memory (VRAM)" value.

2. Free Up System RAM:

Since your graphics share memory with Windows, freeing up RAM can help:

  • Close unnecessary background programs.
  • Disable startup programs (Task Manager > Startup).
  • Check for memory-heavy apps in Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).

3. Upgrade System RAM:

  • If your PC has 4GB RAM or less, upgrading to 8GB or 16GB will improve performance and allow Windows to allocate more VRAM when needed. Your AIO can be fitted with up to 2 x 8GB of DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks.

Windows automatically manages VRAM, so there’s no manual way to increase it. If you’re trying to run a game or software with higher VRAM requirements, consider adjusting its graphics settings to lower memory usage.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Kind Regards,
