To install or update the camera driver for your HP Pavilion G4 series laptop, first, check if the camera is recognized by pressing Windows + X, selecting Device Manager, and looking under Imaging Devices or Cameras. If you see a yellow warning sign, right-click on the camera, choose Update Driver, and select Search automatically for drivers. 

You can get HP Support assistant to update all the drivers.

Make sure your camera is enabled by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and ensuring access is turned on for apps. Try opening the Camera app or another program like Zoom to see if it works.
