on download indicates there was an error

I downloaded the framework but say "error" It looks like something went wrong and our tool didn’t launch.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 
When the HP Support Solutions Framework fails to launch on Windows 11 and shows the message:

"It looks like something went wrong and our tool didn’t launch"
 

This typically indicates either a corrupted installation, system compatibility issues, or missing dependencies.

Try the following steps to fix the issue:

Uninstall and Reinstall the Framework

• Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
• Uninstall HP Support Solutions Framework
• And reinstall

Run the Installer as Administrator

• Right-click the downloaded .exe file
• Select "Run as administrator"
• This bypasses permission issues that might block the tool.

Install Required Windows Components

Make sure you have these prerequisites:

• .NET Framework 4.8 or later (Windows 11 usually has it, but verify via "Turn Windows Features On or Off")
• Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (2015–2022)
• If needed, you can download the VC++ redistributables here.

Temporarily Disable Security Software

• Some antivirus or firewall settings may block the tool.
• Temporarily disable your antivirus and Windows Defender Firewall, then try launching the tool again.

Check for System File Corruption

• Open Command Prompt as admin and run: 
  sfc /scannow
• This scans and repairs missing or corrupted system files.

Try HP Support Assistant Instead

If the Framework still doesn't work, consider using HP Support Assistant, which includes most of the same tools:
