@cg100000, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your touchpad is not working on your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop after upgrading to Microsoft Windows 11, here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Touchpad Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  • Ensure the touchpad is enabled.

Update Touchpad Driver:

  • Download HP Support Assistant from the HP Support website if it isn't already installed.
  • Open HP Support Assistant and check for driver updates related to your touchpad.

Reinstall Touchpad Driver Manually:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Mouse and other pointing devices or Human Interface Devices.
  • Right-click on the touchpad device and select Uninstall driver.
  • Restart your laptop.
  • Visit the HP Support website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest touchpad driver.
  • Install the downloaded driver and restart your laptop.

Enable Touchpad in BIOS:

  • Restart your laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Navigate to Advanced or Device Configuration.
  • Ensure the touchpad is enabled in BIOS settings.
  • Save changes and exit BIOS.

Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Touchpad Diagnostic Tool:

  • Some HP laptops have a built-in diagnostics tool.
  • Restart the laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly.
  • Press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run tests on the touchpad to check for hardware issues.

Reset Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  • Select Reset to return touchpad settings to default.
