Android 6.0 Marshmallow
My Deskjet copies well, but gives poor quality prints from my android. It was fine last week. Any ideas or suggestions? I don't currently have a computer, so I can't do much in that direction.

You’ve done an excellent job on diagnosing the issue from your end. Superb effort and spectacular research were done as well. 🙂 Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 . I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

 

For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this:

  • What app is being used for printing?
  • Did you uninstall and reinstall the app and check?
  • Did this happen after a software or Android OS update?

For now please try these steps:

  • Please uninstall and reinstall the app after downloading the latest one from the google play store and try to print in color and check if it gets resolved
  • If you are using HP all in one remote, try HP print service plugin by downloading it from the Google Play store.
  • If you are using HP print service plugin then download and install HP all in one remote from the google play store/

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps. Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
