Product: HP Slate 8 Plus
Operating System: Android 4.4 - 4.4.4 KitKat

Hi,

 

I originally bought this Tablet probably 3 years ago as a backup but never actually needed it until now.

 

It comes with a free 2 year dataplan which is supposed to start from when registered. Today I have turned it on but I cannot get it to connect to a mobile network. Where I live I have no problems connecting to O2 or Vodafone and even have another older HP Slate 7HD tablet which also has free data and it still works. So I am not sure if its a bad reception issue.

 

My warranty has expired because HP knows I bought the device 3 years ago even though I haven't opened it until today. But I believe my free data should still be valid since I only opened it and turned it on for the first time today.
