@Barbaracall1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

You may connect the printer and the tablet via Wifi. make sure the printer and the tablet are connected to the same wireless network.

This printer supports only 2.4GHz network.

 

To connect the printer to the wireless network,

On the printer screen, tap on the wireless icon > tap the Settings 'gear' icon > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard > Choose your network

For more info con connecting the printer to the wireless network, refer to this document.

 

If you do not have access to a wireless router, you may connect these devices via WiFi Direct
