Hello,

When I start my tablet (or after a reboot), I have the Android GUI but a lot of popup windows telling "Service xxx is stopped" with xxx could be Services Google Play, or Maps or YouTube...

I don't know why this happens as it is the kids' tablet (they installed a lot of things from the google store so...). And it is impossible to uninstall anything.

So I tried to clean the tablet with Android system recovery. I tried "wipe cache partition" and "wipe data/factory reset" several times with several reboots but I had the same result: the wipe function seems working but after the reboot, the Android GUI appears with all the apps/games already installed as if the wipe function under the recovery has not done anything.

So could you provide me a way to fully re-install a clean version of Android without any old data?

Unfortunately, it does not work.

 

Uninstallation from the GUI does not working so I tried from the recovery tool.
I tried to do a new installation following https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-slate-10-hd-tablet/5447840/model/6528577/document/c04075244.
I took the image from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-10-tablet/5447816/model/7298639.
From the recovery tool, I installed update.zip and everything seems good, I had the Installation complete message.
I rebooted the tablet but after a slow start (the HP logo blinking several times at the start) nothing has changed: I have still all the same apps (games...) and the same error messages as if the installation was not done (strange!!).
I did twice but same result.
Do you have any idea?

In that case, I would suggest you to contact our phone support. They will help you.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

 

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
