HP Recommended

I have a new version poly 5200 headset. I also have a couple of charging cases from older .... about 4 year old .... 5200 headsets. I am trying to learn if I can safely use the older case to charge my new headset. I am asking because I destroyed a 5200 UC by plugging it into one of the older charging stands. I have no idea why that happened. I guess that Poly changed pin configuration but left the cradle and pins the same size/location.

 

They older PLT 5200 (about 2 year since I bought this one) has developed the usual problems. Voice drops and people cannot hear me. I have been through all of the troubleshooting and resetting. It is retired.
