Plantronics Voyager 5200 series headset
Microsoft Windows 11

I am in a busy office, and my headset is picking up all the background noise. Is there a way to disable this or at least turn it down?

Hello @Tim2136 , Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thank you for reaching out with your query regarding your Poly device.

I understand you're looking for options to enable or adjust noise cancellation on the Voyager 5200 Series headset. While there isn’t a manual setting to enable or disable noise cancellation, rest assured that the headset is designed with adaptive DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and WindSmart technology to intelligently reduce background noise during calls.

To ensure optimal performance, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Update the headset firmware using the Poly Lens application, as firmware updates often include improvements to audio and mic performance.
  2. Reset the headset's wearing sensors through the Poly Lens app, or disable them temporarily to rule out any sensor-related issues.
  3. Perform a full reset of the headset via Poly Lens to clear any potential configuration conflicts.

These steps can help enhance the noise reduction capabilities and improve overall performance.

If you have any further questions or need help with these steps, feel free to let me know—I'm here to support you.

Take care and have an amazing day!
