Savi 8410/8445
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a customer using a Poly Savi 8410/8445 and when they access a Zoom meeting, the meeting says that it can't find or recognize the mic at first.  We run a test and it immediately finds it again and works, close out of the zoom meeting and try again, same issue.  Once we have done this 2 or 3 times, it doesn't come up with the same issue again until we restart the computer.  The customer already has the Poly Lens application on their computer and so the headset firmware/drivers are up to date.  I've turned off the additional sound settings in Windows as well.  What can be done to have Zoom immediately recognize the mic?

Hi @JasonLayer3, Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your Savi 8400 series headset — I completely understand how important it is to have your headset functioning reliably.

To help resolve the issue, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Set the headset as the default device within the Zoom application.
  2. Ensure Zoom is updated to the latest version available.
  3. Open the Poly Lens application, go to Settings > Softphone, and make sure Zoom is selected as the active softphone.
  4. If possible, please test the headset with a different softphone and PC to help isolate whether the issue is with the headset or the current setup.

If the issue still persists, I would request you contact our HP Support, and our support engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link.
