Unable to use headset - shows two blue dots next to headset where it normally charges -> Tried restarting device or connecting to computer wihout any luck

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?


If your Poly Voyager Focus UC headset shows two blue dots next to it where it normally charges, it may indicate a connectivity or charging issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
 

1. Check the Charging Connection: Ensure that the headset is properly placed on the charging stand or connected via the USB charging cable. The LED indicators should light up to confirm it is charging.
 

2. Inspect the Charging Contacts: Make sure that the charging contacts on both the headset and the stand are clean. Dust or debris can prevent charging. Clean them gently with a soft, dry cloth.
 

3. Confirm Power: Verify that the charging stand is connected to a powered USB port or a functioning power outlet.
 

4. Reset the Headset:

  • Turn off the headset.
  • Wait for a few seconds and then turn it back on.

5. Update Firmware and Software:

  • Download and install the Poly Lens Desktop app from support.hp.com/us-en/poly.
  • Use the app to check for firmware updates for your headset.

6. Reconnect to Bluetooth Device:

  • Turn off Bluetooth on the connected device and then turn it back on.
  • Remove the headset from the list of paired devices on your Bluetooth device and pair it again by following the pairing instructions.

7. Check LED Indicators: Refer to the Poly Voyager Focus UC user guide to understand the meaning of different LED indicators and ensure that the headset is functioning as expected.

8. Restore the headset settings to default: Please restore the headset settings to default on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC. Once done, please switch off and switch on the headset again to save the changes made.

9. Check if the BT700 adapter is paired to the PC correctly and working by checking the LED indicator.
