8560w + fresh win10: where's sd reader and 2nd hd?

HP Recommended
EliteBook 8560W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning,

i had to reinstall windows 10 on my 8560w.

I've done all the windows updates.

If I insert a sd card it is not recognized nor read.

I can not find the second hard disk inside my 8560w on cdrw-bay.

Do I have to install something else?

thank you.

Hi:

You probably have to install the sd card reader driver for the sd card to work...

The JMicron Media Card Reader Driver enables the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64135.exe

As for the 2nd HDD not showing up...unfortunately, I have no idea why that is happening.

Thank you for your precious answer.

The driver you have shown me is the one for windos 8.1 64 bit?

I still can not "see" the second hard drive connected instead of the cd-burner.
Until a few day ago everything worked fine. A video editing software gave me a problem and I thought about reinstalling the operating system to clean up old software.
I made a mistake, it was better to stay with the computer a little slower than now.

In the device management there are three components not installed: an HSPA module (which I do not need) and two other unknown devices that I do not know what they are.

How could I identify and configure them?

Thanks again for your help.

You're very welcome.

There is no SD card reader driver for W10, so you have to use the one for W8.1.

In order for me to provide the drivers for the unknown device, please post the hardware ID's for them.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

https://www.howtogeek.com/193798/how-to-find-drivers-for-unknown-devices-in-the-device-manager/

Use the W8.1 driver from the 8560w support page for the HSPA module.  That is the WWAN card.

Good morning,

I managed to install the other two undetected devices. I only left the hspa module I do not need.
I still can not "see" the second internal hard drive (which I regularly see if I boot the computer with any linux distribution).
Any suggestions?

Thanks
