Hi all, I bought a laptop this afternoon, I had a few driver issues that were resolved by hp remote access, windows 10 did all of it’s updates, or it said it was up to date but a check for updates found a large update to a newer version of win 10, while it was downloading and installing I went to make dinner, when I came back to laptop, hd light was on but screen was black. I thought it had gone to sleep, I’m new to laptops and pressed enter or maybe the trackpad to wake it, next thing I know the hd light is out and it won’t power on, no ac light either. Hp support were closed by then, I see no way to get at the battery to unplug it, not sure I want to fiddle with it tbh.
I will ring HP tomorrow to see if they can help somehow.
I’m reluctant to return it to Argos (uk store) as I have already loaded all my customers personal details on it 😞
Any ideas on what would have caused this?
Not a very enjoyable experience with my first laptop 😞
